Front impact Euro NCAP allowed a repeat of the frontal impact after the incorrect passenger seat belt load-limiter was fitted in the original test. Alfa Romeo checked all cars from the start of production and has now resolved the production fault which led to the error. The knee airbag protected the driver’s knees and femurs. Euro NCAP was satisfied that there were no structures in the dashboard on the passenger’s side that would present a hazard to the knees and femurs. Child occupant The passenger airbag could be deactivated to allow rear-facing childseats to be used in the front passenger seat. However, the information regarding the status of the airbag was not sufficiently clear to meet Euro NCAP’s requirements. The presence of the ISOFIX anchorages in the rear outboard seats was not sufficiently prominently marked. Pedestrian The bumper scored no points for the protection offered to pedestrians.
