Penned by legendary design house Pinninfarina, the Maserati Gran Turismo is a high-performance coupe for those who appreciate inspired design. Backing up its flashy looks is the kind of performance and luxury appointments one expects of a premium Italian sports car. The Maserati brand was established in 1914 but until its reintroduction to the US in 2002 their cars were largely unknown in America. Maserati has seen US sales grow substantially in recent years, but if looks are any indication, the Gran Turismo may be the car that helps transform Maserati into a major player in the premium car game. Because any true audiophile knows your commented was a complete fallacy. Go talk to some audio stores and ask them about your speaker theory. They will tell you that the rear speakers are just for fill. It’s the front speakers that do all the work and detail. The reason car makers are putting 543 speakers in cars is because people like you assume that it sounds louder and better. You can make one the best sounding and loudest cars you’ve ever heard with 4.1 speakers.

  2. AdrianC12345 says:

But the more speakers you have lets the music surround you which makes the music sound better. I know that they are high quality speakers but still that’s only 2 in the back, a lot of work for the speakers if you have the volume up. And I don’t know why I my comment is rated at -2, it’s true what I said.

  3. ChocolatePoop1301 says:

The number of speakers has NO bearing on SPL or SQL. That’s like comparing speakers based on watts.

  19. porsche911sbs says:

most Americans cannot afford and would never consider buying brand new BMW (just saying). true however, that is one reason I’m glad to live in the US, where I can buy a new car (ex. Ford Focus) for $20,000 (€13,500) and a bottle of Coka-Cola costs only $1.00 (€0.68) and a gallon of gas costs $2.55 (€0.45 per liter).

  20. tven99 says:

in my country takes for those cars are 600%.. but people still buy it!

  21. greenblueprints says:

Yeah, we have the same problem in Canada. Cars (and everything else) are way more expensive. It’s bullshit.

  22. KonigNick says:

taxes, houses over there are the same, mega cheap americans don’t realise how lucky they are when they can buy a brand new X5 at 28 000€ where as in germany BMW’s home is 50 000€ it’s even double in some other countires

  23. 305pride says:

    really nice looking car

  24. vissi87 says:

I would love to know why these cars sell for $120,000 US in the States which equates to about $145,000 AUD yet in Australia they are advertised as $328,500 AUD in Australia. Why are cars always so much cheaper in the States?

  25. twitchmassacre says:

Bad taste? This thing had a sticker of $99,850 and performed like a Porsche Cayman S which is a $60,000 car. I paid $108,650 and got a car that outperforms everything in the Luxury GT Class including the Aston Martin DB9 which is twice the price. If I have to sacrifice a little bit of looks for that who cares? I’m a performance enthusiast not a look enthusiast. I looked for a gem under the bonnet, 10 Engine of the Year Award winning BMW S85 V10. The Maserati is beautiful but it’s not for me.
